Perm Scientific Centre, RAS UD
Perm Scientific Centre, the Ural Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences, was created on the basis of the institutions of the Academy of Sciences, located in Perm, by the resolution of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1988. PSC RAS UD is headed by Academician Valeriy Pavlovich Matveenko.
Currently the staff consist of 609 employees, including two academicians, two corresponding members, 62 doctors of sciences and 174 candidates of sciences.
The Department for the Study of political institutions and processes of PSC UD RAS
The department was converted from the Perm branch of the Institute of Philosophy and Law, UD RAS in August 2013. The main scientific direction is the study of political institutions and processes in the modern territorial and socio-cultural context.
The department has 10 employees, including 2 doctors and seven candidates of sciences.
The Department of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the PSC of UD RAS
The department was converted from the Perm branch of the Institute of History and Archaeology, Ural Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences (founded in 2003) in August 2013. The Scientific concept of it is the study of ethnogenesis, ethnic and cultural history and traditional culture of the peoples of the Western Urals.
The scientific staff consists of 7 researchers, including 3 doctors and 2 candidates of sciences.
