Perm Scientific Centre, RAS UD
Perm Scientific Centre, the Ural Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences, was created on the basis of the institutions of the Academy of Sciences, located in Perm, by the resolution of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1988. PSC RAS UD is headed by Academician Valeriy Pavlovich Matveenko.
Currently the staff consist of 701 employees, including 273 scientists, two academicians, two corresponding members, 68 doctors of sciences and 183 candidates of sciences.
Institute of Philosophy and Law, Perm Affiliate
The Institute was established in October 2003. The main areas of research are the study of political institutions and processes at the regional level in modern Russia.
The affiliate has 10 staff members, including one Doctor of Sciences and eight Candidates of Sciences.
Institute of History and Archaeology, Perm Affiliate
The Institute was reorganized from the Perm division of the History and Archeology Institute of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in April 2004. The scientific concept of the branch is based on the study of ethno-genesis, ethno-cultural history and traditional culture in the Western Urals.
Today the affiliate has five staff members, including three Doctors of Sciences and one Candidate of Sciences.
